Busy Brooke

These are just some random pictures of some of the things Brooke likes to do. I've just loved these past few months as she has started talking more, I swear each day she learns something new, its almost impossible to keep up with her. She is such a busy little girl, she is constantly trying new things and exploring everything. She is so much fun, there is a lot of personality in that little girl!
Making muffins, Brooke loves dumping in all the dry ingredients for me, what a help!

Reading her favorite book, The Jungle Book.
We've left several lower cupboards empty and Brooke loves hiding in them.

Playing with her new kitchen.
Imitating me on my Yoga ball.
Jumping on the bed, I know I probably shouldn't encourage this but its so much fun!
Brooke loves animals, and she especially loves imitating them. This is her pounding her chest like a gorilla.
Riding her rocking horse.
How stylin' is she?

Tofu???

I'm on a little bit of a health kick right now, so when Reid's birthday came up I searched high and low for healthy desserts. I found a recipe for chocolate mousse on line that had really good reviews. It had a tofu base, which I was a little worried about because I have a hard time with the texture of tofu but it was actually quite delicious. Reid wasn't a big fan but I maintain it was only because he saw the tofu in the fridge and so he knew that I was using tofu in something and was suspicious. I thought it was great, I didn't know tofu could be so good!

Costa Rica

We just got back from a trip to Costa Rica with my family. It was such a great trip! Here are some of the highlights:
1) Turtles- We got to see a leatherback turtle lay her eggs. It was so amazing! I had seen it quite a few times on the Discovery channel, but it was absolutely incredible in real life (unfortunatley we couldn't take any pictures).

2) Snorkeling- Reid and I went snorkeling with my sisters Marti and Vixie and my brother in- law Tim. We saw a sting ray, and got to hold a starfish and a puffer fish. It was so beautiful and colorful, I felt like I was in Finding Nemo.

3)River Trip- We went on a wild life river safari boat trip that was really cool. Brooke fed a monkey a banana out of her hand. We also saw some crocodiles, a lot of cool birds and a lot of iguanas.

4)Deep Sea Fishing- Reid went deep sea fishing and caught some kind of big 'ole fish.

5)Chillin- It was so great just to be able to relax on the beach or at the pool. Brooke had so much fun swimming, she also practiced for her future as a surfer. When we got back she got upset because she actually had to put on real clothes and didn't get to go swimming everyday.

6)Family- We had so much fun hanging out with family. Brooke loved playing with all her little cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents.
We had a great trip, but as you can see we wore ourselves out and are thrilled to be home.
