Moving

Well, it wouldn't be life in the James family if we didn't move on a regular basis. So, we're at it again. This is a fairly local move for us, thank goodness! We are just moving about 30 minutes away to a larger place that is more conveniently located. For those of you keeping track this is our 8th move in 5 1/2 years!

My Two Kids

I love having two kids! It is definitely more challenging but I just love watching them together! I love the way Brooke talks about her "Owen Babowen" and how she says "Owen don't be sad, I'M here", I love watching her sing songs to him, I love seeing his face light up when he sees her, and I just love it when they both start giggling like they are sharing some hilarious joke. I know that they will not always be so happy with each other but I just enjoy watching them together! I guess I've just been thinking about how things are different with two than they were with one and I am just so happy to be able to watch these two wonderful kids become friends.

Thank You Dolly!

One of my favorite things about living in East Tennessee is the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. It is a foundation that Dolly Parton set up that sends one free book a month to every kid under 5 (so Owen because I started him as soon as he was born will get 60 free books!). Brooke loves getting her books in the mail and I've been impressed by the book choices, they are age appropriate, good books. Loving books as much as I do it makes me so happy to get these books and not have to feel bad about not buying them more books. I know they have this in other areas but this is the first place that I've lived that has it and I just love it!


Also, thanks to my mom who is like my own personal Dolly Parton. She has sent me two boxes of books in the last few months. I just love it when I always have a new book to read!

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter this year! We went to an Easter egg hunt, dyed eggs, and enjoyed a beautiful Easter sunday. Although I must not have read the directions on the dye box very well, because our dye didn't work very well and rubbed off really easily. I guess that is why I usually have Reid do stuff like that, oh well better luck next year. We also had a great Easter lesson, we got the Behold My Little Ones Manual for Family Home Evening Lessons and we did the Easter lesson and it was great. Happy Easter!

Popcorn Trees

Spring is here! We've been so excited about seeing the "popcorn trees" blossoming this year. Brooke gets so excited when she spots one and sings her favorite song "Popcorn popping". We love spring!

Birdhouse

Reid took Brooke to the Home Depot kid workshop. They made a cool birdhouse and Brooke got a cute orange apron! I think this is such a cool program (I can't believe it's free!) and Brooke was super excited about it. So much fun!
