Ice Skating

We caught the Olympic fever and decided to try our luck at ice skating.



We aren't quite ready for the olympics :). But we did have fun! They had the little walker type things for the kids to push and even one with a car seat that you could push a baby in. It was pretty fun although, I got the wrong size skates and my feet are now killing me.

I've noticed...

I've noticed that the vast majority of the pictures we have of Owen are in his high chair. I can't decide if this is because a)he is always in his highchair, b) the high chair is the only place where he will stay still long enough for us to take a picture or c)he just looks happiest when he is stuffing his face. Whatever the reason, I feel a little bad that it seems he is spending quite a bit of his life in his high chair. But he looks pretty happy, I don't think he minds too much.

Love is in the Air

We had a great Valentine's Day. My sweetheart got me some beautiful roses and yummy chocolate. Brooke also got purple and pink roses and purple and pink nail polish and Owen got some chocolates. The kids also LOVED the balloons that they got from there grandparents, they are actually playing balloon ball as I type right now.





But, as are all holidays in my mind, Valentine's is all about the food. So saturday night we got the kids to bed right at 7:30 and then we had a wonderful dinner. This is what we ate: Buttered Rosemary rolls, crash hot potatoes, grilled rib eye steak with blue cheese sauce, my favorite spinach salad with creamy apple dressing and molten chocolate lava cakes with ice cream. It was all delicious but the chocolate cake really stole the show, oh my goodness it was GOOD! Hard on the outside and gooey on the inside, mmmm so good! And easy, you should all try it, you'll thank me later! Then Sunday night with the kids we made pizza and mint oreo milkshakes! Hmmm, that was a lot of food, I should maybe go running! Anyways Happy Valentine's Day!
