Any ideas?
I would just like to take a moment and say boy names are impossible! Reid and I cannot agree on anything! We have fairly similar taste in girl names, but with boy names we can hardly find anything we like, much less something we can agree on. We both kind of like Everett (I'm not in love with it) and Scott (not my favorite), Reid likes Baxter (1st of all I don't like it and 2nd I don't want two B's in a row), I kind of like Griffith right now(I am going trough rapid name phases, I'll like a name for a day or two and then hate it which isn't good considering the poor child will be stuck with the name for a good long while). Some names we've considered are: Colin, Grant, and Marcus (all of which are names I've liked and Reid has vetoed, and now I don't like them anymore). I know we still have plenty of time, but I'm kind of freaking out that we will never come up with anything. Any ideas???

Visitors
My dad and stepmom came to visit last week. We had so much fun! Brooke loved having more people to pay attention to her. We went up to the Smoky mountains where we saw a bear, some turkeys, and a lot of deer. I obviously am a little partial to the Western mountains, but I have to say the Smokies were quite spectacular.
We also spent a couple days down at a resort a little West of us, which was a lot of fun! We went to our first southern fish fry and got to try fried dill pickles (you've just got to love the South). We took Brooke to a lake and went for a paddle boat ride.
We also went to the county fair, Brooke had a blast going on a couple rides and is still talking about it!
We sure love having visitors!

Just Kidding...It's A BOY!
Well we thought we were having a girl, but we're not, it's a boy! We went in for our official ultrasound today and the tech said it was definitely a boy. She even gave us like 10 pictures of the boy parts just to make sure we were convinced. Everyone in the office thought it was so funny that we were told wrong, but at least we had this ultrasound now before we really started getting ready for a girl! I'd kind of been thinking it was a boy before the last ultrasound, so I guess I was right. Anyways, we're excited although I was a little surprised I'd been thinking of girl names and we even bought a little dress (I did keep the receipt). So we're having a boy!

Summer Time Pics

Our little girl is getting so big. She has been having so much fun this summer between making new friends, swimming, going to the zoo and all the other fun summer things we've been up to. Anyways, the first picture is one of my favorites of her this summer.
Brooke LOVES corn on the cob. She gets so excited when we have it for dinner. It takes her a little while but she cleans that cob up, we looked at it when she was done and there were like 2 kernels that she missed.
It's been so hot and humid the last month that we've had quite a bit of indoor time. One of Brooke's favorite thing to do is paint, it's messy but she sure has fun.
Brooke has really gotten into puzzles and playing matching games lately. It is amazing how quickly she is learning new things.

Reid took Brooke fishing this weekend and she loved it. She was so proud of the fish she caught and Reid said she was quite a hit with all the old men fishing at the dock.

Brooke loves the pool. Luckily we've been able to go swimming quite a bit this summer. It is definitely her favorite thing to do. She loves to make up water games like pretending she is a turtle or a whale.
Craft Time
Well for those of you who know me well, you know I am not super crafty. But every now and then I just get the urge to have a little project and be a little crafty. When I was looking through the Pottery Barn Kids catalog I saw some cute flowers and I decided to try and make some. They are definitely not perfect, but it was fun a little project and they look cute with Brooke's little kitchen set.
