Grandma Q

My mom came out to visit this past weekend and we had so much fun. Brooke was in heaven, she just loved getting to hang out with her grandma. Brooke kept talking about how Grandma's birthday was coming up next, so we decided to have an early birthday party for her (her birthday isn't until Feb. 20th) complete with cake, candles and of course birthday hats! We had such a fun weekend, it was hard for us to let her go!

Blessing Owen

Reid blessed Owen today. It was such a nice blessing and a special time for our family. But it did remind me of how sad it can be to live so far away from family. When we blessed Brooke there was so much family there to help they could hardly all fit. Today was a little different, but it was nice at least that my mom was here and that we had some great friends to share this time with.

Our Little Buddy

I can't believe Owen is almost three weeks old! We have really been enjoying our new little baby. As worried as I was about this transition, I don't think these past few weeks could have gone much better. So far, Owen has been a great eater and a preety good sleeper. And Brooke just loves him, she calls him her little buddy and loves to "play" with him. Several times I've caught her "sharing" her toys with Owen, which means Owen ends up with toys and books on his face. She is starting to learn about being soft and really is being a great big sister.
