Girls Weekends

A few weekends ago, Reid and Owen went to New Mexico for the weekend.  So Brooke and Millie and I had a girls weekend.  We started off the weekend with a tea party.

 

We tried out some different hairstyles.

 

 Gave ourselves pedicures.

 We also went to IHOP for breakfast, went shopping and watched a bunch of girly movies: A Little Princess, Ella Enchanted, Kit Kittridge, Matilda and Judy Moody.  Basically it was the perfect weekend to spend with my girls.

The next week my sister Elizabeth came in from Utah.  She spent 1 night with us and then she kindly drove with Millie and me to Southern Illinois (have I mentioned how awful I am at driving long distances).

 

We met up with my mom and 4 more sisters for a girls weekend to celebrate my sister Marti's 50th birthday.

We did some hiking.  Here we are at the Garden of the Gods.  There were some awesome rocks to climb and some great views.



 Here my sisters are practicing their yoga.

We had to take this little ferry across the river.

 

It was such a great weekend.  Eating yummy food, playing games and eating more food.  One of the games we played was The Game of Things, one question everyone answered was Things your parents never told you- kind of hilarious.  It was such a fun weekend.  Thanks again to Elizabeth for driving with me.
