Camille's Room

Kid rooms are my favorite places to decorate. I love that they are smaller so little things make a big impact, you can use fun colors and there are so many cool things you can do for wall art. So as soon as we found out that we were having a girl I got busy.

 I had an idea to paint the room gray but then I remembered that I absolutely hate painting and I decided the yellow worked fine. I liked Brooke's baby bedding but I felt like it didn't make a huge impact, so I decided to rip up the blanket because you never use it anyways and use the fabric. I used the fabric to make a bunting, rosettes for a throw pillow and decorate the lampshade.  The fabric definitely makes more of an impact used throughout the room than it did just on the blanket.  I especially love the bunting and that I didn't even have to sew!

  For the walls I had the kids each make some pictures for her and framed them.  They love telling people about how they made pictures for Baby Millie and I love that I was able to include them in getting ready for her.  For the other pictures I did an ABC art that spelled out her name that I saw on Pinterest and I cut out some butterflies. 

I really love her room its simple and cute and girly without being pepto-bismalish.

Stuff

Here are some things we've been up to. 

In January, we had a snow day.  Which in Tennessee means there was a heavy dusting and school was canceled. 

Reid had a birthday.  Brooke wanted to make a candygram poster for him.  She was pretty creative at figuring out what to say with the candy bars, it was fun!

We've been going hiking a lot.  Reid has taken the kids a few times when I've been especially tired and/or grouchy.  But we've gone all together a few times lately and it is so much fun to get outside and do something together.  One time Brooke was ahead of us and she found this tree and hid in it to surprise us.

For Valentine's Day breakfast we had pancake puffs with berries and whipped cream, if you can't tell Owen really enjoyed his.



 I found these pictures, and I couldn't help but put them on here.  We told the kids I was pregnant on Christmas Eve and these are some pictures Reid took of me telling them.  They were both so excited, it was so special.

We're Thinking Pink!

So I'm pregnant, which is way exciting! And it's a girl which is also exciting (except if your Owen, he is not too excited about that, he yells and says its a boy whenever we say the baby is a girl).  I'm due the middle of June and everything is going well, we feel so incredibly blessed to be able to have another child in our family.  We are just so excited!
