Puppet Theater

Before Christmas I was thinking of things to get for the kids and Reid and I talked about making a puppet theater.  We talked about making a bigger wood one, but I wanted something that wouldn't take up space.  So I found this tutorial online for a puppet theater that hangs on a tension rod you can put up in the doorway and decided to give it a try.  As I have mentioned I am not much of a sewer, so luckily I have several friends that kindly helped me with some of the trickier parts (OK most of the sewing) and I was able to finish it up myself.  I think it turned out really cute and the kids just love it.  It is definitely my favorite new toy from Christmas!

Owen

Owen had a birthday.  I love this little boy so much.  I am so grateful to be his mom.  Sometimes he wears me out and I don't know what to do with him and I forget how totally and completely thrilled I am that he is my son. Here are some of the wonderful things I love about him.

 Owen can be really sweet. When Brooke is upset he will often go up to her and give her a big hug. And he is often the first one in our family to say thank you for something.

He is funny.  He definitely gets his sense of humor from his dad.  But already he just love playing jokes on us and doing funny things to make us all laugh.

He loves to help.  Whenever Reid and I are in the kitchen and Owen comes in he pulls up a chair and says "I help.  I be a cook man."

He loves sports.  He loves playing football, soccer, catch, and baseball.  And he loves watching sports on t.v. with his dad.  The first time Owen asked Reid to go watch football with him, I looked at Reid's face and I thought he might cry a little, it was a pretty proud moment for him as a dad.

I love this kid so much.  I am so glad I get to be his mom.

Happy Birthday Owen!

We had a birthday/ new year's eve party.  It was pretty fun.  We played some crazy games.

 Hung out with friends.

We sure had fun.  We sure do love that boy and just love celebrating with him!
