Our Little Ballerina

Brooke took a little princess dance camp this past week, so we could see whether or not we wanted to put her in dance class this fall. She liked it and had fun dancing with her friends. It was fun to see her dance in her recital. The girls were all so cute, three year olds are not known for their ability to follow directions for a reason, but they all did a great job!
So, part of me feels like I want to get Brooke in some kind of a class this fall, where she can work on following directions and interacting with other kids. But another part of me feels like she is still too young and we should wait one more year for classes. We are doing a pre-school co-op, but I am just not sure about classes. Also, I'm debating whether swimming, soccer, dance or gymnastics would be best. I just can't decide. Any thoughts?

I find myself in the same situation, though I am not doing a preschool co-op. I want to put H into swim classes, would like him in preschool so I have some time with P, but am I ready to commit myself to being out of the house by 9:00 or 10:00 every morning of the week? That is the question of the day? week? and summer??

I say swimming is important, if kids are going to spend any time in the water. Growing up we all started lesson at around age 4 mostly for safety reasons. As for other classes/lessons, i.e. dance, soccer, etc. I would personal say wait a year or two and ask Brooke which one she would like to do. She can dance in your living room and kick a ball in the yard for now. preschool combined with primary gives plenty of chances to learn to follow directs and such for a three year old. just my thoughts:)

What a good little dancer! That's so cute!
I'd have to agree with Whitney. Swimming is not only a fun sport, but you'll feel safer when she's around water.

I agree about the swimming. But, I also find myself questioning because I want Nick to be able to interact with other kids since he is the oldest. If you think of the solution let me know.

she is super cute though

Cute blog. Very fun. You all stay busy. I like the science experiment with the volcano. I will have to try that one with Kylie.
