We had a great Valentine's Day. My sweetheart got me some beautiful roses and yummy chocolate. Brooke also got purple and pink roses and purple and pink nail polish and Owen got some chocolates. The kids also LOVED the balloons that they got from there grandparents, they are actually playing balloon ball as I type right now.
But, as are all holidays in my mind, Valentine's is all about the food. So saturday night we got the kids to bed right at 7:30 and then we had a wonderful dinner. This is what we ate: Buttered Rosemary rolls, crash hot potatoes, grilled rib eye steak with blue cheese sauce, my favorite spinach salad with creamy apple dressing and molten chocolate lava cakes with ice cream. It was all delicious but the chocolate cake really stole the show, oh my goodness it was GOOD! Hard on the outside and gooey on the inside, mmmm so good! And easy, you should all try it, you'll thank me later! Then Sunday night with the kids we made pizza and mint oreo milkshakes! Hmmm, that was a lot of food, I should maybe go running! Anyways Happy Valentine's Day!

You are so cute! I love that you always make these amazing meals. I need to do that. I love that you got your kids Valentines for some reason we missed that this year....I need to do it next. Nick was really annoyed so Spencer had to make him one. LOL. Your flowers were so beautiful I am glad you had such a good 2 days.
It sounds like you guys had a great Valentine's Day. That chocolate cake sounds very good.
Also, those comments by Brooke are too funny. It makes you wonder what they are thinking sometimes.
